User Flow — Group close to regulator filing

DiscloseAI is a multi-agent disclosure cockpit that sits on top of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Group Reporting. Seven specialist agents drive the group close all the way to a regulator-ready ESEF filing, with a human checkpoint at every gate.

Stage 1Connect

Ingestion AgentOpen
What it does
  • Binds live to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Group Reporting via OData (consolidated data, FS Items, hierarchies).
  • Pulls from subsidiary ERPs (SAP ECC, Oracle, NetSuite) and accepts file uploads (CSV/Excel).
  • Maps every incoming number to its SAP FS Item so lineage is preserved — no retyping.
How it happens in the app
  • Connections grid with sync status, last pull time, and row counts.
  • Drag-and-drop upload card for smaller entities.
  • Lineage flow: source system → FS Item → report line.
Why it matters — Every downstream number is a DataToken. Hover it to see source system, FS Item, and timestamp. Numbers are deterministic — LLMs never invent them.

Stage 2Reconcile

Reconciliation AgentOpen
What it does
  • Ties subsidiary trial balances to consolidated figures.
  • Flags intercompany mismatches, FX rounding, and unmatched eliminations.
  • Produces a step-by-step reasoning log for every variance.
How it happens in the app
  • Live agent feed with pulse animations to feel real-time.
  • Accept / Push-back controls — pushback becomes training signal.
Why it matters — The agent proposes; the controller disposes. Every decision is captured with the reasoning behind it.

Stage 3Report Builder

Narrative AgentOpen
What it does
  • Drafts primary statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, OCI, Cash Flows, Changes in Equity.
  • Drafts disclosure notes grounded in Stage-1 numbers.
  • Every figure is a DataToken — the LLM cannot alter numbers, only prose.
How it happens in the app
  • Chapter switcher driven by URL (?chapter=PFS-1 … PFS-5).
  • Accept / Edit / Reject on every AI-drafted narrative block.
  • Hover any number → lineage tooltip.
Why it matters — The Narrative Agent operates on a fixed number substrate. It writes about numbers, never creates them.

Stage 4Tag

XBRL AgentOpen
What it does
  • Applies ESEF / ESRS / IFRS taxonomy tags to every fact.
  • Assigns confidence scores; bulk-confirms high-confidence tags.
  • Routes edge cases to the human tagger.
How it happens in the app
  • Facts table with proposed tag, confidence %, taxonomy element.
  • Live iXBRL preview of tagged HTML output.
Why it matters — Confidence-scored tagging replaces manual XBRL work while keeping human review where it matters.

Stage 5Validate

Validation AgentOpen
What it does
  • Runs IFRS taxonomy calc linkbase (e.g., Assets = Liabilities + Equity).
  • Runs ESEF formula rules and internal consistency checks.
  • Links every finding back to the offending cell, tag, or note.
How it happens in the app
  • Findings grouped by severity (Error / Warning / Info).
  • Click a finding → jumps to the source cell in Report Builder.
Why it matters — Regulator-grade rules run continuously, not just at the end. Fix cycles collapse from days to minutes.

Stage 6Approve

Audit AgentOpen
What it does
  • Captures a signed, immutable audit trail — who approved what, when, on which reasoning, against which data state.
  • Every approval is fully reproducible for auditor review.
How it happens in the app
  • Role-based sign-offs: Group Controller → CFO → Audit Committee.
  • Each entry shows agent reasoning and the data snapshot at approval time.
Why it matters — AI drives speed; humans retain accountability. The trail records both.

Stage 7File

Filing AgentOpen
What it does
  • Assembles the final package: iXBRL, PDF, and ESEF ZIP.
  • Runs pre-flight regulator checks (schema, filenames, package structure).
  • One-click submit to the regulator (ESMA, BaFin, etc.).
How it happens in the app
  • Pre-flight checklist with green ticks.
  • Package download and Submit-to-regulator action.
Why it matters — The last mile is a click, not a project. The package is guaranteed valid before it leaves.

How it all holds together

Five primitives make the workflow feel like one product rather than a pile of features.

Shared shell
SAP Fiori Horizon top bar and left rail wrap every stage so the whole pipeline looks like one product.
Global agent feed
Ambient toasts every ~18s show agents working in the background — the system always feels alive.
DataToken primitive
The same lineage-aware number component powers Report Builder, Tagging, and Validations. Provenance is always one hover away.
Guided tour
Auto-navigates through all 7 stages with contextual tooltips. Launch it via the Tour button in the top bar.
Joule chat
Floating assistant that answers 'why is this number what it is?' across every stage.

The human-in-the-loop principle

Every stage exposes an Accept / Edit / Reject or Approve / Push-back control. The agents propose; humans dispose. That is the entire compliance story: AI drives speed, humans retain accountability, and the audit trail records both.
